Practice Policies
I provide care exclusively to adults (18+) who are physically present in New York State at the time of service. This practice does not offer care to minors or anyone located outside New York State for any appointment.
I do not treat substance use disorders, children or adolescents, or offer specialty care for developmental or intellectual disabilities. Emergency and crisis psychiatric services are not provided. If you need emergency support, please call 988 or 911.
Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, 5:00–7:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (no federal holidays). Clinical decisions and treatment changes take place during scheduled visits—either live or via an asynchronous video submission—and not by unscheduled phone calls. Administrative coordination is handled by an answering service to protect your privacy and ensure a consistent process.
Asynchronous Visit Rules & Medication Policy
Asynchronous visits are optional and require a secure video submission. I respond to these on the next business day (excluding weekends and federal holidays). If a clinical question requires live conversation, I will recommend a follow-up appointment instead.
For any clinical questions involving controlled substances, I review the New York Prescription Monitoring Program (NYPMP / I-STOP) for safety and compliance. I may, at my discretion, decline to initiate, modify, or discontinue controlled substance prescriptions, or decline membership if not clinically appropriate.
Other Important Practice Policies
I reserve the right to decline or discontinue care if my practice model is not a good fit for your needs, if safety cannot be maintained, or if practice policies are not followed. All care is provided at my discretion to ensure clinical appropriateness and safety for everyone.
In-office visits take place at Psychvisit with a dedicated, discreet entrance for membership patients. Please note, this is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, please call 988 or 911, or visit your nearest emergency department.
